Audiovisual Stories about Water is made of seven videos focused on the worth of water as a valuable resource that represents the essential element for feeding ourselves and the world we live in. Aim of the project is to raise awareness about water as a resource and inform consumers about its quality and sustainability.
Students were asked to communicate through audiovisual storytelling the value of water as a resource, dealing with different topics: the availability of drinking water in different parts of the world, the quality of local resources of the city of Milan, the way in which we can reduce water pollution, the effects of global pollution and global warming on water, and the consumption and waste of drinking water.
The videos are the result of a five days workshop, in which the students faced, for the first time, the whole video production process: idea, script, storyboard, shooting, post-production and distribution.
The outputs have two different formats: a video commercial or a short documentary, and they are different in terms of technique and visual language.
The videos have been shown at Salone del Mobile 2015 at the Salone Satellite for Cumulus Exhibition "Design to Feed the World - Preview" and at the exhibition "Design to Feed the World" at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, during the event Cumulus Milan 2015.
